Summer Information
Summer workouts will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:00-7:30 PM. Dates are posted below but are subject to change. We will meet at the practice field at Carrboro High School. These workouts are recommended but not mandatory. Please have a current physical on file and be registered. Registration can be found here: www.chapelhillcarrboro-nc.finalforms.com. We will do fitness first for 20-30 minutes and play small-sided games after. Make sure you bring running shoes, cleats, and water.

*Please note that July 1-7 and July 15-21 are dead periods meaning we cannot train
Camp
When: July 22-26
Where: Carrboro High School.
Time: 7:30-10:00 AM.
Cost: $125
Registration: go to www.premieruksoccer.com to register. Our camp is called “Carrboro High School Camp 2024”. You must be registered to attend. You must also be registered to play and have a current physical on file with Carrboro High. If you need financial assistance to attend, contact Coach Drexler at jdrexler@chccs.k12.nc.us. Camp is open to rising freshman boys through rising seniors boys interested in playing soccer at Carrboro High School.
What to bring: cleats, shin guards, water
Tryouts
When: July 31, August 1, and August 2 8-10:00 AM
Where: Carrboro High School practice field.
You must have a current physical on file at Carrboro High School. You must be registered on Carrboro Athletics Webpage. You must have a signed Concussion Form on file. If you do not have all of these completed, you WILL NOT be allowed to try out.
Please bring running shoes, cleats, shin guards, and water.
If you cannot attend tryouts on July 30-August 2 for some reason, you can try out on Tuesday, Aug. 29, Thursday, Aug 31, and Friday, Sept 1. This is the first week of school. NO EXCEPTIONS! Please note that NO spots will be saved and those at tryouts on July 30-Aug 2 will be given preference.
Please note that you must pass all 3 fitness tests during tryouts in order to participate in the first competition. The fitness tests are:
1. 2 Mile Run. Must be completed in 13 min. 30 sec.
2. 300 m x 3. All 3 runs must be completed in 1 min.
3. 120’s x 10. Must run 10 120’s (length of field) in 18 sec. Jog back to start in 40 sec. Once back, you will receive 30 sec. rest. Failure to make the 18 sec. or 40 sec. is a X. Three X’s is a failure.
