Our CXC Summer Calendar will look like this:
Saturday June 26 NCHSAA Track and Field State Championship
2 WEEK TRAINING BREAK for athletes is suggested at the end of a training year to let your body and brain rest, and to allow you to end 1 training year and begin the next.
NCHSAA has 2 Dead Periods during the summer where teams are not allowed to practice unless they are at camp.
This year those weeks are:
July 4-July 10
July 18-July 24 (when some of our team is at Brevard Camp).
We'll begin summer optional workouts the week of
July 11, but it will be interrupted by the dead week the following week.
We'll suggest work for you during that dead week.
July 11: 7:30 a.m. practice 3 days/wk (mon, wed, Thur)
July 18 NCHSAA Dead Wk
July 25: 7:30 a.m. practice 4 days/wk (Mon, Wed, Thur, Fri)
Aug 2: Official Start of Season w 5 day/wk practice at 7:30 a.m.
